  • Plans for the 2018 convention are well underway for what sounds to be a great and exciting National Convention hosted by the Beta Eta Chapter of Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. An important point to note is that the National Convention is in early March, March 1-3, 2018, so your chapter should begin planning now.
  • Officers visited three local colleges and universities to share information about Sigma Zeta. Two Colorado schools have expressed interest in forming new chapters of Sigma Zeta on their campus.
  • 867 new members were installed at local chapters of Sigma Zeta in the last year.
  • Paige Swan attended as the first Student Representative national officer in recent history.
  • Awarded funding for 16 Sigma Zeta Research Awards to support student research.  While all proposals were of merit, limited funds allowed full funding of only 7 research awards with 9 more receiving partial funding.  Electronic and paper mailings with feedback to all student submitters and their faculty research mentors will be sent out by the National Office in the next 3 weeks.
