Gamma Beta Chapter Installation Minutes

 

Installation of the Gamma Beta Chapter of Sigma Zeta at Concord University

Dr. James Hall and Dr. Darla Wise oversaw the installation of our chapter of Sigma Zeta on October 27, 2011.

The inductees were welcomed and the installation of the faculty members followed. Dr. David Chambers (in absentia), Dr. Kim Chambers (in absentia), Dr. Darrel Crick (in absentia), Dr. Tom Ford(in absentia), Mr. Jim Johnson, and Dr. Darla Wise of the Science and Mathematics departments were inducted as sponsors of the chapter.

Dr. Wise discussed the meaning of the symbols on the Sigma Zeta banner. Afterwards, Dr. Hall charged the students to promote the goals and ideals of the organization, and the students accepted the responsibility.

Dr. Wise read the names of the students to be inducted and Dr. Hall presented each with a certificate.

Dr. Hall gave a powerpoint presentation explaining the history of Sigma Zeta. The activities related to the National Convention were also detailed.
The meeting was adjourned.
